This Book was sent to me by Harvest House Publishers in exchange for a Review.

Description of Book

Grace Bradley wishes all she touches would turn to gold. Instead, it tends to tarnish.that is, until she finds freedom on the Double K Ranch. Grace is fleeing from the man her father chose to be her husband. But once her heart is captured by her new employer's best friend, and she finally understands the meaning of God's sacrificial love, she relinquishes her independence to save her loved ones.

Cade Ramsey contemplates running for dear life from the accident-prone nuisance he brought to his hometown. The trouble that trails her seems to latch on to him at every turn. But when Grace manages to win his calloused heart, he chases her down, praying he can keep her from following through on a decision that could ruin their lives.

My Review

This book is the second book in the Colorado Runaway Series.

I loved this book from start to finish. I have decided that Janelle Mowery is my favorite Historical Fiction Author. She wraps you into her stories and doesn’t let go of you until the end of the book. This book was so good I couldn’t hardly put it down.

This book is about Grace Bradley running from trouble and gets into more trouble. Grace hides in Cade Ramsey’s wagon in Pueblo, Colorado after her mother's funeral, but Cade finds out she is there and from then on out, she causes him such headache, it is so funny. Everytime that Grace is around him, he gets hurt physically, it is such a great book you can’t wait to see what is going to happen to Cade next.

But, then the one person she is running away from, finds her and then all trouble starts for her and Cade. I won’t say anymore, so I won’t ruin the book for you. It is a must read, I would suggest this book to all my friends and family. Hope you will pickup this book and enjoy it as much as I did.

The Creed Legacy by Linda Lael Miller

This Book was sent to me by Harlequin in exchange for a review. Description: Rough-and-tumble rodeo cowboy Brody Creed likes life on the move. Until a chance encounter with his long-estranged twin brother brings him "home" for the first time in years. Suddenly Brody is in Creed territory—at thirty-three, he's a restless bad boy among family with deep ties to the land and each other. And a secret past haunts him as he tries to make plans for his future. Carolyn Simmons is looking for Mr. Right in Lonesome Bend, as the ticktock of her biological clock gets ever louder. Then she falls for gorgeous Brody Creed, the opposite of everything she wants. Until lassoing his wild heart becomes everything both of them need. My Review:
This book is the 3rd and final book in this series by Linda Lael Miller. I like Linda’s work, even though the language can be a little rough at times. I loved this book very much. This story just wraps you right into it, it was wonderful. I like her work, she is a GREAT author. Brody Creed comes home to Lonesome Bend, Colorado and tries to make amends with his former girlfriend, Carolyn Simmons but she wants nothing to do with him, even though deep down, this is what she wants. It is funny in places and sad in others. As the book goes along, she decides to go out with him, and that is funny too. Brody Creed is so funny, I could just picture him trying to get her to go out with him. I would suggest this book to my friends and family.

The Wonder of His Love by Beth Wiseman

This book was supplied to me by Thomas Nelson Publishers for a review in return.

This book is the 2nd book in The Land of Canaan Series. It is a GREAT book by Beth Wiseman. I have read all of Beth’s books and love each and every one of them. She is one of the best authors around. I laughed and cried while reading this book. Just wanted to warn you. Hehe.

This book is about Katie Ann having a newborn baby and trying to raise the baby by herself in Canaan, Colorado. Her husband left her for another woman and then dies, so she is a widow now. At the wedding of David and Emily, Katie Ann meets Eli Detweiler, Emily’s uncle. Sparks start to fly after having Eli around for a while and finds it is so hard to tell him goodbye. Eli has other things to do like traveling the country but God has other plans and you know who wins out. It is a GREAT story, thank you Beth for giving us another good one.

In the meantime, Martha, Katie Ann’s best friend has health problems and goes to the hospital to have surgery to remove a tumor. Martha doesn’t want Katie Ann or anyone to let Arnold know she has to have a surgery but Katie Ann calls him and then he comes. From the first book, Arnold went to Georgia but he comes back for Martha’s surgery and realizes how much he loves her. There is a new character that shows up in this book also, someone that Martha meets at the hospital.

It is a wonderful book and don’t want to spoil it for you so will stop for now. Enjoy this book as much as I have.

I would most definitely suggest this book to my friends and family.

A Woman's Walk in Truth by Vonette Bright

This Book was suppled to me by Harvest House Publishers for a review in return.

In good times and bad, God is with you. vonette Bright, cofounderk of Campus Crusade for; Christ, offers over 200 inspiring 5-minute devotions that explore God's Word.

I want to thank Harvest House Publishers for sending me this book. I think that this book is such a good book on Devotions for living every day. It is such an inspirational book, not long in content at all. Everytime I would sit down and read this book, I could just feel Jesus right there with me talking to me through this book.

This book has a title of the devotion at the top of the page and I really liked that also. Then after the devotion was scripture verse(s) and then at the end Vonette would put a comment of what she believes and it just touched my heart and the holy spirit just touched my life. I love this book.

I really loved the devotion on the Prodigal Son so I thought I would quote the scripture and it is as follows:

"This Son of mine was dead and has now reutrned to life. He was lost and he is found". Luke 15:24.

The message that Vonette put at the bottomj of the devotion is: "The Loving Heart of God is eager to Restore Anyone.

I would suggest this book to my family and friends.

The Healing by Wanda Brunstetter

This book was supplied to me by Barbour Publishing for a review in return.

Single father Samuel Fisher of Lancaster County is still grieving over his wife's untimely death when his brother Titus talks him into making a fresh start. Samuel packs up his four kids and heads for the Bluegrass Country. Esther Beiler, who helps watch Samuel's offspring, develops a crush on the widower and a true affection for his children. Can she ever replace his wife, or will that role go to Bonnie Taylor, an English Innkeeper who provides work and witty conversation for the stressed widower? Can an Amish man burdened by yesterday's memories find hope in Kentucky, the land of tomorrow?

This book is Book 2 in “Kentucky Brothers Series”. This book was a GREAT book. It was so good that I didn’t want to put it down. I have read almost all of Wanda Brunstetter’s books and I just thoroughly love her work.

Samuel Fisher loses his wife and the baby she is carrying in a horrible accident, she falls and breaks her neck. He has a hard time dealing with the grief and having to take care of his 4 children, so he packs everyone up and they move to Kentucky. They stay with Titus (Samuel’s brother) until Samuel can get things worked out in his head.

In the meantime, he gets a job; but needs someone to look after his kids. He hires Esther Beiler and she falls in love with his kids and eventually she discovers she has feelings for Samuel. After a while, Samuel comes around and starts courting Esther. Things are going smoothly until he attends the wedding of Titus and Suzanne and then the old feelings of his wife show up and he decides to break it off with Esther. He breaks her heart so bad, I felt so sorry for her and I cried and cried for her. But, he finds something his wife wrote in her journal that she wants him to find another wife who loves him and the kids. Esther is both of these. They patch things up then.

Again, this is a GREAT book, one that I would suggest to my friends and family.

Bible Reading-August 14, 2011

Psalm 32:1-11
New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 32

Of David. A maskil.[a]
1 Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the LORD does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.

3 When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.[b]

5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the LORD.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.

6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
will not reach them.
7 You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the LORD’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.

11 Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Bible Reading-August 13, 2011

Hebrews 4:12-16

New International Version (NIV
)

12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Jesus the Great High Priest
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
